Associate, Investment Banking at TD Securities (USA) LLC, New York, NY (F/T) JOB DUTIES: Work within a deal team to provide structure, transactional, and marketing support for investment banking services. Evaluate capital needs of clients and assess market conditions to inform structuring of financial packages. Perform evaluations on private and public companies, leveraging accounting statements to value a companys assets and liabilities in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, to determine growth perspectives. Inform investment plans by analyzing financial information to forecast business, industry, or economic conditions. Interpret data on price, yield, stability, future investment-risk trends, economic influences, and other factors affecting investment programs. Recommend and implement solutions and provide advanced financial analysis for specialized area(s) of responsibility. Remain fully informed on market data, economic information, and key industry developments as well as regulatory standards at all times to assist in maximizing profitability through sound and well-informed decisions. Work closely with and lead junior colleagues to ensure accuracy, and train and develop team members. Prepare external client proposals and internal underwriting memos and presentations for clients. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position requires a Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Economics, or closely related field, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered, as Analyst, or related position involving financial analysis for investment banking. Full term of experience must include each of the following: Financial analyses for investment banking deals/transactions; Researching and analyzing clients' financial situations, industry and market data, financing, and M&A opportunities; Valuing private and public companies; Performing complex financial and M&A modeling, including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF); Valuation techniques, including comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, and intrinsic valuation; Preparing external client proposals and client presentations; Assisting with client negotiation documentation; Deal structuring for M&A, IPOs, debt financing, or equity issuance; and, Bloomberg ,CapIQ, PitchBook, StreetAccount, BamSeEC, Macabacus, and AlphaSense. Telecommuting may be permitted within commuting distance pursuant to company policy.Up to 25% domestic travel required for client meetings and internal meetings.
